You could always add 'prices from$...' in your short description.

That is not stock functionality. A coder will need to build logic that replicates the process of calculating the discounts in advance of the price display, then determine based on your instructions which price to display. Does anyone know how to make the least expensive (or lowest possible) price for an item the price that is shown to a customer when they search for an item?
The majority of the items in our store have quantity discounts available, therefore, the base price is not necessarily the least expensive price. For instance, a single item may cost $100 where a customer purchasing 10 items can purchase each item for $75. How can I display the least expensive price (which will be one of the quantity discount prices) on the product detail page, as well as with the product image thumbnail when the customer does a search by category or another search option?
Thanks!
