I haven't activated FedEx shipping yet but after reading the instructions it seems that FedEx only summons the shipping weight from Productcart to determine the shipping cost which could result in incorrect charges for shipping. Since making individual products oversize to make sure they are shipped separately and that the vendor doesn't end up paying the shipping could result in the shipping cost being to high I suspect it would be logical to enter the dimensional product weight (L x W x H) divided by 166 (for pounds) instead of the actual shipping weight since FedEx and other couriers charge by dimensional weight as opposed to actual weight. If FedEx used the shipping dimensions from ProductCart they would probably automatically apply the dimensional weight. Any comments or experience with this ? |

you need to use a formula to calculate dim weight based on actual weight, then update your products. http://shippingeasy.com/dimensional-weight-calculator/
