Isapi Rewrite from www.helicontech.com is a good solution so long as it is available from your host.

We will shortly be moving our store from an old system to PC. The PC system will use the SEO URLs and the old uses a query string type URL with ?dept=999?prod=aaa etc.

These old URLs do fairly will in SERPs and naturally we want to maintain that.

What is likely to be the most efficient way to do the redirection? Not a massive number of products involved - 350 or so.

My thought is to set up a simple database table with all the dept/product combinations and  the corresponding new URL. On a department or product view, we'd extract the dept/product to lookup the new URL and push that into a 301 redirect.

I'm not sure it would be any easier to set up with ISAPI_rewrite as each redirect needs to be unique.

Has anyone had a similar situation and how was it resolved?

Thanks
