One of my stores is running 4.6. I know Product Cart is now on 5.05. When I look at my updates, I see that 5.02 is my next available update. Will there be a straight 4.x - 5.05 update coming out?
Or do I need to go 4.6 -> 5.02 -> 5.03 ->5.05. (it was nice to see 5.04 and 5.05 combined) Can I go all the way to 5.05 in upgrade mode while keeping 4.6 live? |

The upgrade is performed by loading 5.02 into a new folder such as storev5, and having your host assign the appropriate folder permissions. Once you do that, you follow the upgrade procedure to move selected files (such as e-mail and shipping settings over to v5), and run a database update. That is followed by downloading 5.03, then 5.05. And all of this is done out of public view while keeping the live store running. I do recommend that you add an entry into your robots.txt to keep search engine spiders from indexing the dev folder. |

Although there are no plans to consolidate the v5.03/v5.04/v5.05 updaters... we WILL consolidate them once v5.1 is released in the next month or so. In other words, once you upgrade to v5.02, there will be a single update to get to v5.1.
