Author: BrianRoden
Subject: 1669
Posted: 29-May-2008 at 1:59pm

Our actual in-house warehouse/order management system runs on an IBM iSeries midrange. We are getting ready to launch a ProductCart site as our web-based ordering interface for our smaller independent retail customers who don't have IT departments that can place orders via EDI like the big chains do.

I know we can export orders through the cart admin interface and download a CSV or Excel file. I was wanting to see if there is a way to have an automated export at a set time each day, to a file on the web server, that we could retrieve via an scheduled FTP job. We're just wanting to eliminate as many human components as possible, because our technical staff is too busy to do the admin export/download daily, and we don't want to rely on sales/marketing, which will maintain the product catalog, to consistently pull down the orders.
