Yes, I second this!  We have this trouble with our customer ALL the time.  A redesign of the checkout process is needed.

When testing my cart today, I noticed that when I select a payment option, the page must refresh. This is a problem because the customer may not realize it's refreshing and go ahead and click the Continue button. I tried it, and it leaves the payment option blank, but uses the default payment option instead of the one selected!
 
I thought about trying to warn the customer ahead of time to wait until the page is refreshed with their payment choice, but that's crazy... It needs to be revised in PC.
