We have completed a pair of modifications that address specific shipping situations.  These mods were done specifically on v3.5 due to the improved (tabbed) visual interface on the checkout page.   (Just to clarify, V3.11 stores can easily be upgraded to enjoy the v3.5 checkout shipping features without doing the entire upgrade.)

The first mod addresses the merchant's preference to not offer Fedex Ground to Canadian ship-to addresses when shipping from US Domestic locations. 
 
The other mod addresses the following scenarios:
  • The customer sells perishable products which must be shipped overnight.  Due to the special packaging that these products are shipped in, a minimum order quantity must be enforced in order to assure that the package is adequately filled. Products may be matched within the subject category in order to meet the minimums.
  • To qualifying (local) zip codes, UPS Ground is guaranteed next day delivery.  If the ship-to zip falls within that range of zip codes, only UPS Ground is offered to the customer. Otherwise UPS Next Day Air is offered.  (Both, obviously, are active in the shipping settings and are still offered on orders not containing the qualifying perishable products.
