Nah, we won't be taking their credit card info, it will be handled elsewhere monthly through a separate system.

I think the point Rob made was that he DOES want to capture the CC info, but not charge the card.  I suppose that would be available with an offline credit card method.
 
It may be necessary to place text on the page notifying the customer that the card is NOT being automatically charged, and whatever additional language may be appropirate, but I think that would work since the offline payment method requires manual charge card processing during order processing.  Would that work Rob?

Hi Rob: you can accommodate this by creating a custom payment option where there is no exchange of money or collection of any credit card information. Hello,
 
Our store processes orders but we do not handle the billing through the productcart powered store.
 
We want to add prices to some of the items but when we do that, the customer/user must enter credit card or other payment info when checking out - is there a way to have prices on items but skip the payment part (essentially letting them order the item for free)?
