Quite a few products in our database have special characters such as ",½,¾,™.

The mod rewrite works fine... it does display these characters in the Url and load the pages just fine. The problem seems to occur in the xml sitemap. When I created the XML sitemap... it's bringing errors because of those special characters. The sitemap only loads completely in Firefox and the links that have these characters do not work through the sitemap. So i'm wondering if this will cause an issue with Search engine spiders.

I did find some URL's with special characters in Google's Results... but I just want to get someone else's feedback.
