I gave up on the category import and did that through the product import. Thanks for the advice, it definitely shortened the project for me.

One thing I'm stuck on now, which hopefully is a much simpler problem, is that the previous cart didn't have category images. Is there a setting to have categories use an image from a product in that category for its thumbnail?

Thanks again.

I think I have the fields mapped out now, but I'm having trouble importing categories.

I got the category names from the categories_descriptions table in ZenCart, but whenever I try to import them (I tried names and short description first, then just names) I get an error from product cart. The problem is that for some reason I can only see the top part of that yellow triangle with the exclamation point in it, and there's no description of the problem.
The page is productcart/pcadmin/techErr.asp?err=473838386-125418, I don't know if that error number at the end helps.
What could be going wrong? Should I be doing this through product import rather than category import?
Thanks again.
