    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.productcart.com/member_profile.asp?PF=301">JacktheBear3</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 4087<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 20-October-2010 at 10:04pm<br /><br />Fundamentally, should the shipping rate calculator return rates that include the products/carts "First Unit Surcharge:" ????<br><br>We have products that are 70+ pounds, but regularly ship to RESIDENTIAL customers.&nbsp; The shipping estimates do not RETURN fedex ground rates due to the 70 lb. threshold, Express options are scaring customers away due to expense.&nbsp; We are trying to work around by claiming the 85 lb boxes are oversized and claiming the weight to be 69lbs. so the ground and home delivery options show while shopping... and we wanted the unit surcharge to cover the cost of the added weight.<br><br>Any FedEx shippers have some advice?<br><br>W<br>]]>
