Hamish - that's brilliant.  I looked at the site, don't see my tabs, and don't have a record of this store having contacted me. However, on looking just now, I don't see CSF on either the product pages nor the search page. 
 
I wrote back to Nicholas and was waiting for his call so we could discuss over the phone. 
 
Nicholas, does Hamish's direction put you in to the correct direction at all?  Do you have CSF  values defined?

Hi,  I believe content1 is part of the Custom Input Fields. Do you have an email address I can reach you at?

Is there a way for me to tell if that module is installed on the site? It's been through a few ProductCart patches-- so wouldn't I have stumbled across custom code intermingled with the official code?

your "content1"  reference makes me suspect that this store may have my tabbed product page module installed:

I've got the responsibility of editing an existing ProductCart that another person/team already had setup-- and it appears they're using the "content1" field of the Products table for some content on the products page-- but I can't see where you're supposed to be able to edit that field in the admin interface! Maybe I'm missing something obvious. Any help would be appreciated.
