COLOR: black; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Trebuchet MS','sans-serif'">With Regard to the BTO Configurator, we really need a way to display the "Show Details"/"More Details" button at the Category level. With the help of my handy PhotoShop program, I was able to make a visual Mock-up of what I am requesting.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The image below depicts the way ProductCart BTO currently displays the “Show Details” buttons when that option is selected in the BTO configuration screen. This method works fine only when all the details for each product in the category are uniquely different. When it is the same description it gets a little muddy because you are either showing duplicate information or you have a "More Details" button next to a product that will display and empty popup with no information. I have actually made good use of this feature and like it a lot but it does need to go a few steps further.

What I am requesting is an option in the BTO configuration screen that would allow us to Display the “Show Details” button at the Category Level using the “Category Short Description”. You could set this to display in a popup even if the “Do not show category descriptions” checkbox is checked for the specific category. In this example, my description for the Memory category is the same for all the products in the category. As it is above, you get the same description pop-up description regardless of selection and if I only put a description on the first product, I still get extra buttons in the online display that are empty. Below is an example of what it should look like if your description applies to the entire category as mine does. As you can see this would be a much cleaner method and I feel, would be well received by quite a number of BTO users.

Below is a “mock-up” of the requested change to the BTO Configuration screen. The changes needed would be to the "Show Details" checkboxes and to allow for showing details at the Product level as well as at the Category level. Since ProductCart already has pages written that allow for a Short Description and Long Description on the Categories (just as Products do) and the code is already written for the pop-ups to pull from the Products Short Description, I would imagine this to be a very simple change to implement. I had considered writing the change in myself but thought this to be something just about every other user of the BTO version would welcome and use.

There is certainly room for another modification to this section where you would have the ability to show the details for specific products within the the BTO Category. An example of how this would look is shown in the image below. This modification however, would be a bit trickier since there is no reference code written to handle it as there is in the previous examples.
