Adding a field to the product page

   When customizing the page that you use to present a product, my company would like to include a manufacturer's link just below the product's heading. My coworker and I have been struggling to find a way to make this work through product cart. We have made attempts working with the custom input field & custom search field options but neither have been successful. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make this work?

	Correct: Neither of those options would provide the result you are looking for. Several things need to be customized to accomplish this, including added a field to the database to store the value, adding the field to the Modify Product screen in the Control Panel to admin the value, and customizing the product display files to display the value. There's more involved if you want this to be manageable via product data imports. GBDG has built a tool for this which they include in their Tabbed Product Descriptions add-on. You might request to see if they could provide that to you independently of the the Tabbed Product Description part itself (if you don't desire that bit). Otherwise, it's takes 2-3 hrs maybe for an experienced programmer familiar with PC source code.
