I can't get my basic search box to give any results.
www.cascadedirect.net
It always goes to Page Not Found.
How do I make the box work so when a customer types in "pant" or "jacket" , a common word in all our product names, it returns the proper results.

Thanks!

Ben - something is messed up concerning your files, and the way they were uploaded, or concerning some aspect of the configuration.

That being the case, something I'm not quite certain about went wrong with the install or the config.  Might want to submit a support request so that someone can FTP into the site and poke around.

Also, what sort of server are you on?  What OS is it running? Depending upon the answer, the answer will vary, but you should take action to cause requests for cascadedirect.net automatically redirect to www.cascadedirect.net.  Tell me what OS you are on and I'll offer a suggestion.

Hi Greg,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.  Here is what the hosting company had to say:

The submit button value confuses the webserver.
It is value="Go >>"
And when it submitted, the last part of the URL became submit=Go+>> and the IIS translates it as the part of a filename which doesn't exist.

Try changing the value to something else and see if it works.

Here is the server info:
webserver: IIS6
OS: Windows server 2003

Hmmm.  I just poked around and found a couple sites we work on that has a similar implementation of the "GO" button.  One is hosted on our servers, one is hosted elsewhere, both are on IIS6. Neither behave in a similar manner.  If you write to me at greg AT greybearddesign.com, I can send you links.

I wonder what the nature of this server setting might be.

I'd suggest making an image of the button you want like "Go >>" and using that to submit your search box. This would probably be the easiest solution.
