EI,
Found an issue that I do not see addressed in the WIKI. The issue revolves around a product that is listed in multiple categories. The canonical URL doesn't account for this and thus generates a different canonical URL for each category the product is listed in. Thus creating confusion for the Google: 1. the page content is the same 2. the product lives in multiple locations each with a different canonical URL The rel canonical tag is to be used to tell Google the preferred URL location of the page. The solution is to make each product have 1 "master" URL location where it lives. But allow the product to be listed in multiple categories. That way no matter how many different categories the product is listed in, it only has 1 URL and 1 canonical URL. The current structure of PC doesn't have this functionality. Can this be addressed? Thanks, Earl |

Hi Earl,
An update was posted the other day on the "Just In" section of our Support page, that I believe addresses your question: http://www.productcart.com/technical-support.asp#updates ... but let us know if that is not the case. |

EI,
One tweak. Can you adjust the xml sitemap product URLs to use the same format as the canonical url? Thanks, Earl |
