I notice that a lot (most) of the customer fields  (name and firstname) end with an ascii 160. (535 out of 600) that I checked. I believe that ascii 160 is the extented character a with an accent on top of some sort. I could understand a few whose names with with the accented a but not 5 out of 6.

Does anyone know why this is there or how to remove them?

This may be a non-breaking space character and may have appeared after a move from 1 host provider to another.

Did you try exporting the customer list and then reimporting via the Customer Import Wizard?

- Export name, last name, email
- Review
- Reimport to update the current records: ProductCart uses the email field to match existing customer records

No, this was when using our QuickBooks Shopping Cart Integrator for a customer. I will mention that to the customer. We put in code to remove the chr(160) but why was it there?
