I found out that editing a product info changes all the invoices that have that product on it... I was wondering if I delete a customer payment option like credit card... will that affect previous invoices?! I just want to hide the payment option really - but I don't see that option... thanks!

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?! Can I delete a custom payment option or will this affect previous invoices which used this payment option?!
Thanks! |

I don't have an answer but I have a suggestion. Go to EI's demo store. Create a custom shipping method. Create an order. Delete the method. Go see what impact it has on the order.

As far as I am aware deleting a payment option has no effect on the order history. I have customers who have changed their payment options more than once and this hasn't caused any problems.
