This post is kind of a 2 part question about discounts.
1. Is there a way to have customers enter a coupon code before checkout? This would enable them to see an accurate running total as they shop. 2. Suppose I have a coupon that is assigned to a category. If someone purchases an item from that category, they save $5.00 off of that item. If they order 2 products, they save $10.00, $5.00 off each item. And so on. Right now, ProductCart will only take off $5.00 once., instead of the $5 of each item. The reason this is important, is we'd like to send a coupon code out to customers with their order. We don't want to make the item a special, and we don't want to make a coupon for each item in the category. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help!!!

We also wanted our customers to have automated discounts that were applied prior to checkout. It required a customization of the cart software. If the coupon is logically simple then it should not be too hard but if its complicated or requires it to be product specific then it gets pricey. Our discounts are across the board so it was fairly simple. We also wanted to be able to include/exclude customer types which wasnt too bad either.
