FYI:

Early Impact's wiki page that talks about integrating shipping wizard with endicia falls to mention a limit on pass phrase / passphrase

from Endicia Server Support

"anything over  20 characters then would cause the problem"

Hi Casey,  Are you saying that Endicia allow a Passphrase to be set that cannot then be used in the integration with Endicia?

Short answer...  Product Cart's interface allows for a very long passphrase to be created and initially passed.  However it doesnt play well with Endicia's servers.

Let me clarify with my process.

Following the EI wiki  I entered a complex  alpha numberic code.  B/c I couldn't use symbols I was aiming for 24 characters.   This was passed through ProC  encidia settings manager to Encidia.   I completed the initial stage of setting up an account.  When I then had to continue to process, which evolves putting in set-up passphrase and entering a new one,  I couldn't gain access with my set passphrase.  I had a temporary one reset and continued.  This only worked for a moment as it continued to loop on the process of trying to update (through ProC) the Endicia Passphrase to complete the second step of set up.

I found success by guessing that Encidia didn't like longer phrases as each of the temp resets were 8 characters.   I had to "remove encidia" through ProC shipping settings.  Then reconnect with "existing account."   I made sure to have a shorter passphrase and had success.

Hi Casey,
Thanks for the clarification :-) - I understand the issue now. I'll update the wiki & also pass this to the dev team for a code change to validate the maximum length.
