Error: String or binary data would be truncated

   Someone tried to sign up on my site as an Affiliate.  They received an error code which they e-mailed me.  I looked in the error log and it said (shortened):

Error Number: -2147217833 

Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server 

Description: String or binary data would be truncated. 
query=SELECT pcStoreSettings_ErrorHandler FROM pcStoreSettings WHERE (((pcStoreSettings_ID)=1));

I tried signing up and it worked fine.

Is there a limit on one of the fields that could be causing this?  Could someone please explain why this is happening and what I can do to fix it.
