Error with adding products / drop shippers.

Selecting drop-shipper from dropdownlist on edit product page doesn't actually add product to that drop shipper.

To add product to drop shipper, must select drop shippper from list and then go to products, then select to add product.

If product was already selected in dropdown on edit product page, product will not show up in list of products to add to drop shipper - maybe it's partially added?

If go back to edit product page, select blank selection from drop-shipper dropdown (item is dropshipped but no dropshipper selected), then go back to dropshipper products page, then the item will show up on the list of products to add to drop shipper.

That summarizes it. I'm working on this error now. Tested and replicated in the demo store.

Also, I'm unable to delete a drop-shipper.

Was able to delete a drop shipper only after removing all products assigned to that drop shipper.

I have drop shipping active on a number of sites Brett.  I know with certainty that I have changed a dropshipper to my own e-mail address, such as when testing the HTML drop ship PO mod a couple weeks ago.  That worked fine for me.

After deleting both of my drop shippers and creating a new one, then using the drop-shippers page to add a product to the new drop shipper, the e-mail just sent to the right address. This is a tricky bug, but I'm definitely not imagining it. I'll let you know when I know more.

The error with changing e-mails was an issue with using Google Apps for Businesses (google-hosted @domain.com email) and the HELM control panel. I had some e-mail addresses defined in the HELM control panel, one of which was the catchall and was forwarding. I had also used the DNS manager to change my mail server.

After I deleted all e-mail accounts from HELM, the e-mail was correctly sent. I think this is because the e-mail was being sent from the server (productcart) to what it thought was the same server, so instead of resolving the mail dns and pointing it to google apps' email servers, it assumed it was the same e-mail server as the sender and went straight to the catchall.

What's strange is that HELM assumed mail.liftchair.com = mail.greybearddesign.com even though in the DNS settings i defined mail.liftchair.com = ghs.google.com

The issue with adding a Product to a Drop-Shipper via the edit product page still seems to be affecting both my site and the demo store.

As usual, EarlyImpact has taken my support request and told me it's not actually an error. In a few hours when they look more closely and follow the directions given on my support request, they will realie it is an error. I was going to go to the demo store and take a few screenshots to prove my point, but in the process I've run into ANOTHER ERROR! Screenshots to follow.

From all of the images here, you can see that I now cannot even delete the drop shipper, even after removing all products from that drop shipper!! It keeps saying the drop shipper was removed, and then when I go to view all drop shippers, it's right back there.

Here's most likely why: My original error I mentioned actually is an error, so while the drop shipper shows that it has no products, someone has in fact gone to the product edit details page and added the drop shipper via the dropdown under the weight and shipping tab.

Greg, as I said before, it would be great if I didnt have to waste so much time all the time proving that these errors are actually errors, because they waste my time when I'd rather be setting up drop shippers on my site!

Now I'll take another set of screenshots to illustrate my original point which is this: If you add a product to a drop shipper through the edit product details page > weight and shipping tab > drop shipper radio > and select drop shipper from dropdown...............

Then that Product will not show up if you go to view drop shippers > view all > click the Products link next to the drop shipper (so to show a list of items assigned to that drop shipper)

The drop shipper was removed, and I am now unable to replicate the original problem that I was able to replicate on the demo store yesterday.

Whatever, everything works fine today. Nothing worked at all yesterday. I'm not going to even try to figure this out. Next time I'll be ready with screen recording software.

It's pretty unlikely that I was just a complete idiot yesterday and unable to do this at all, and yet today it gives me no trouble at all. Something is up.
