I'm using a shared SSL certificate.  Parent paths are enabled.  When someone checks out of the store their shopping cart is not cleared.  Can anyone think of what would cause this and/or how it can be corrected?  Thanks in advance.

In the control panel General Settings | Store Settings area, when setting up your SSL, do you have "Switch to Secure page at" set to: "Payment Page - You must select this option if you are using a shared SSL certificate".

That is the required setting for shared SSL. If you have that set correctly, you also need to make sure the shared SSL is on the same server where your web site is hosted. If this is OK as well,  then this sounds like a potential bug and should be entered as a support ticket.
