Featuring Category

   Hello. I know in ProductCart you can feature products in the Featured section of the store, but can you also feature a category of products? For example, what if I wanted to feature a category I have of all books of a certain genre, how could I do it.

	There is no stock mechanism for this - it's strictly a custom programming request.

	Greg's right if you want it to be handled through the CP . . . . but featuring a category isn't as complicated in many respects as featuring products. For one, you probably only want to feature a certain category as opposed to featuring many products. You would also probably want to have a nice graphic bringing attention to this featured category -- a graphic which might not be the same you might use to represent that category in other ways in PC. What I'm getting at, is this could really easily be handled as static content on your home page, say, or whatever page you want to use to bring attention to it. Make a nice graphic, and link it to the URL of the category you are featuring. Really not sure it would be worth the expense of building a customization for this . . . unless there is more to the picture here.
