Is listed under an alternative name? I just spoke with a customer trying to order from South Korea, and she was understandably dismayed to find her country missing from our shop.
If it's just a simple bug, consider it shared. I've tweaked up my "countries" table in the DB to provide it as an option. Edited by amgqmp1 - 30-March-2010 at 11:39am |

Not sure why you are missing it. My store has it. Another thing I don't get is why you have to tweak your table in the DB. All you have to do is click on manage countries in the back office. Could it be that is was turned off?

I wasn't aware of the Manage Countries option, but I appreciate you bringing it up. Interestingly, South Korea is listed there (now twice), with a very unique country code of "Sout". Both are checked, but only the one I manually added to the DB is displayed.
I just unchecked the entry with the "Sout" country code, clicked "Update", and now it is gone from the list. Either way, thanks for directing me to the UI for countries. I now see the "Restore Default Country List" button, and I may end up just clicking that. ![]() I'm going to guess that this is an artifact of my semi-recent upgrade (in the last 1.5 months). I must have customized the DB for another country at some point in the past (possibly South Korea), and created this. Thanks for your help, and I'll edit the title of this post if I can as to make it more relevant. |

I do not have that entry in my "Manage Countries" UI, nor in the DB itself, and that is intentional. We do not sell to the DPRK, and I'm confident I removed that entry with v2.76p.
I imagine that caused some confusion to the code performing the upgrade. I'm all sorted out now and this isn't an issue larger than my shop. Sorry to cause anyone any trouble. |
