I have a cart set up with quite a few top level categories. A few of them have products directly from this level in the hierarchy, but most have a few sub-categories then products. When I use the clone feature no matter what I select ("Duplicate products" and/or "Duplicate sub-categories") it doesn't seem to work. The category is cloned and correctly placed in the parent path I chose with the correct name, but none of the sub-categories or products are duplicated. I've tried cloning from different levels and also tried creating a new dummy category with products and subcategories to clone but nothing seems to work.
Is this problem specific to my category and product database? Could this be a problem related to parent paths enabled/disabled? I'm running product cart 4.1 SP1 with all of the patches and updates available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Mike

Hi Mike,
This doesn't sound right, but I don't have a 4.1 SP 1 location set up (our 4.1 test sites are all running SP 2). However, having never played with this before, I tried it on a 4.6 test location. I cloned a top level category which had products assigned to it at that level, it then has two subcategories with not products, and then finally a deep level subcategory with products assigned to it. I cloned this category with duplicate products and duplicate subcategories, and what I got was a new parent level category a new set of subcategories duplicating the original subcategory tree. It did not carry over any of the products assigned to the original top level category, though. It did, however, copy over the product assignments from the lowest level category (not actually duplicating the products themselves, but duplicating what products are assigned). So, there appears to be one hiccup here with 4.6, but I expect you should be getting better results on 4.1. I would definitely recommend applying SP 2 as there's a lot in there. If viable, you should consider updating through to 4.6.
