I am trying to integrate my Community Server with ProductCart, however I do not want customers to have to "join" 2 separate places on my own site. That seems very unprofessional and redundant. I know CS has a Single Sign On option via a cookie, but apparently I need the cookie generated from PC in order to send the User's data to CS. If that makes sense.
I am not sure where this cookie file can be found so I can have it edited/programmed properly to work for CS. Any help is greatly appreciated! |

This is what EI said in regards to my question when I submitted a support ticket.
"Hi Linda, ProductCart does not use cookies for the customer accounts, but rather their login information (e-mail address and password) is stored in the SQL database (in the 'Customers' table). If you want customers to be able to register/login to a single place on your Web site and be added to both ProductCart and the Community Server database, you would have to have a developer do some custom coding for you. Early Impact does not provide customizations directly, but you are welcome to contact one of our authorized resellers that are knowledgeable about the software as well as competent in ASP programming. " So I guess I'll have to check with a programmer to copy the UN & PW data over to CS. Hope this helps others out there. |
