Is it possible to remove the "Select One" option from the drop-down list so that there is an actual option selected by default?

Thanks,
David

HI David,
Did you find a solution to this? I am interested in doing the same.
Thanks!

Well, it's certainly not a 5-minute request, but I think you are looking at altering the scripts that allow administration of product options and providing for a flag that identifies "default value", then altering the product details page to read that flag and set the dropdown (or radio button) accordingly.

While that would be a more complete solution, as an interim fix what I would like to do is just change the "Select One" text to something that makes sense as a default on my site, ie "no thanks". The text does not appear to be in the languages file, and I am having trouble locating where it is hard-coded.
Any ideas?

dictLanguage.Add "english_viewPrd_61"

This is a feature that I would love to have as well (pref. in the control panel). Until that day comes, if anyone has any instructions on how to do this, I would greatly appreciate it. I only would like this for one of my options, the remaining can have the Select One.
thanks,
Leslie

If you want one or more products to work in the described manner, and the others to work differently, you need to edit the scripting as I posted above (or hire someone to do that) unless someone posts the changes here.
