I need a shopping cart program that allows me to award rewards points to all paid members (with one click, certainly not individually) that they can then use in the store.  Is this program able to do this?  And while not wanting to be rude but I'm at wit's end searching, if this program doesn't do this, do you know of one that does?  It's an absolute necessity for my store.  Surely it exists, as all the credit cards, etc., use a system that isn't based on online sales but instead points that have been put into the customer's account.  Any help much appreciated.

Could  you expand on the details a bit so we are more clear about what you want to see happen and when?

Hi!  Thank you for replying so soon.

We are wanting to set up a paid membership site.  One of the benefits of their membership is the receipt of "reward points" when certain events occur (in this case, when a particular horse in our stable wins a race).  Those reward points can then be used at our online store to purchase merchandise.  Because our membership will be large, we'd need to give these points to all members with a single click as compared to giving one by one to each member.

There are also other events that will earn someone points, such as winning contests, referring a new member, etc., and for those, I need to give on a single member basis.

Thanks again for any help you can give me!

Hi,
Whilst not a "single click" option this can certainly be fairly easily achieved in ProductCart by - Exporting the customer records as a CSV or Excel file, adjusting that file, most easily in excel and then re-importing it. Alternatively there are several developers on this forum quite capable of providing a custom solution to allow a "single click"  solution.

BTW - I doubt you will find this as a built in solution in any ecommerce cart (assigning points across the board / a group of customers). Reward points are usually a response to the customer taking some action and in the case of stores and credit cards that's almost invariably based on a transaction by the customer rather than an outside event.

Thank you so much, Hamish.

I think I'd prefer to go the latter route and hire a developer.  Anyone interested?
