I am currently trying to swap out templates for our BSA Store, and am having some issues if someone could point me in the correct direction of what I'm supposed to be doing, the existing template is at www.bsatshirts.com and I am trying to incorporate the bsatshirts.com/template_new.html into the current store setup.  Can someone point me in the right direction on this?

The short answeris that you cut the new template in half, and apply the appropriate HTML to the header.asp and footer.asp files.

Do you have a more specific question?

I do, but I may not be able to word it properly, I'm fairly new to using this particular cart and web building in general. Basically I'm trying to swap out the existing template with a newer more updated version that I've created, but in looking at the files I'm drawing a blank on how to do this.  I have tried cutting the table in half using only the sidebar and header images but this brings up an error "

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

/store/pc/header.asp, line 14"

when trying to login, so I'm probably not doing something right.  I was trying to have some actual progress on the site done after vacation, so if there are any steps or tutorials you might point me to I'm more than greatful.  Thank you.  I am also looking into the wiki link given but am open to new insight all the same.

That message normally indicates the abssence of a database connection.  I suspect you carved out a piece of code that is critical.  It's probably best to take the stock header/footer, re-apply the HTML for your layout, and avoid disturbing the ASP scripting within those files.

Might I offer our assistance?  What you are doing will probably take an hour or so - possibly less - just to get you over the hump and have you in a positoin to press the rest of the project forward. E-mail me at my site, or telephone me, if you'd like us to jump in.

Assistance would be great, though I do not have your contact info.  My email is <REMOVED>.

(Edited by Hamish to prevent Spam bots grabbing the email address - Greg will have got your email address and the PM function on the forum is also available)

Well a few hours in and replugging of a template, I'm starting to get somewhere, however now when I load a page from my cart it's not clean and organized as it shows in dreamweaver, an example can be found at http://www.bsatshirts.com/store/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=2

Any ideas?

Did you manage to get this sorted with your layout?
