Is there a setting to control the number of CPlogs that productCart records?
For those that aren't familiar with this folder and what it does it can be found in the Pcadmin folder and records control access details. Whilst this information can be very useful the log files will grow indefintely unless these are logs are managed. One of my customers had 78mb worth of log files dating back to 2008.

They work just like the logs that a Web site collects. Just like those logs, they are simple text files. You can simply download them for backup, and remove them from the server.
Please note that logging Control Panel activity is a requirement for PCI compliance. So, do not remove the logs unless you have downloaded them and backed them up. |

Thanks for the information on PCI compliance. I did not realise that the logs were a requirement .
In that case it is very good policy to have them downloaded and backed up.
It is good to make people aware that they grow indefinitely as many hosting accounts limit the available space and other ProductCart customers could use this as a way to free up some on their servers. I found another of my customers with 120mb of logs.
Hard drive space isn't the issue it once was but still needs managing
