I've just noticed what may be a problem for those of us using multiple checkout options. When a guest comes to the store and then adds an item to the cart, then decides to checkout rather than view the cart, they're taken to the Checkout screen where they can log into their account checkout as a new customer (guest). On that page they can select PayPal or Google Checkout. So far so good. Now, if they do log into their account, they are moved forward on the OnePage checkout and at that point can no longer select PayPal or Google. Therefore, a returning customer who logs into the store, selects an item to purchase and instead of "viewing the cart" goes straight to checkout in not able to use PayPal or Google. We just had a customer who had an account and previously purchased with a credit card. They wanted to check out with PayPal this time but didn't have that option on the OPC page because they went straigt to checkout without "viewing the cart". Is there any reason that the PayPal and Google include files can't be added to the payment section on the OPC? If it can, can someone direct me to the section of the OPC asp file where the include files can be added? Thanks for you help and sorry for the long post. Alan

I understand what U mean, and been wondering the same thing. All I could work out is they checkout via PP and it get added to their account already in PC. I wish PP was just a payment method option and then went through its routine.

Google & PayPal Express checkout options are really a combination of a payment gateway and a checkout system, so it's not possible to make them part of the normal OPC page. It's just the way they work.

Thanks Hamish,
So, you're saying we can't place <!--#include file="pcPay_PayPal_Small.asp--> somewhere in the beginning of the OPC page? Alan

I would not do that. Once you select funding source at PayPal you come back to OPC. It would not make sense to have the PayPal checkout button there again. The PayPal include is in the small shopping cart and the login page. So I am not sure I follow why someone would not be able to find it. I cannot think of any place there is a checkout button and no PayPal button (unless you have added your own checkout button to the header).

Hi Matt,
Thanks for your response. My error. You last sentence cleared it up for me. I removed the paypal and google checkout buttons from my small shopping cart in my header (just have PC checkout button) in order to minimize the space taken up by the header. I'll have to put them back and style them to fit. Alan
