Seems like I've had this question before but can't find the answer. I want to set an automatically applied discount to show during checkout from 12:01 am EST Friday 11/25 thru 12 midnight EST on 11/29 - a total of 96 hours (4 full days). If I set the start date as 11/25/11 and the closing date as 11/28/11 do I accomplish that? Does the time period track in my time zone - EST - or in the customer's?

Hi,
If you are on V4.5 you could use the sales manager, but this does not support auto-start and auto-end. With a discound code you can set the dates. The server date is the important one. If it was the customers PC date it would be incredibly easy to circumvent the date requirement of the discount & get it forever! |
