Fancybox or similar?

   Hi all,
I am trying to get Fancybox to work on a page on one of my productcart pages.  It turns out it needs a newer version of jquery to work.  Does anyone know of a similar way to get the same effect of a faded out background with ajax code framed in the middle?  Please help.  I'm sure there has to be a way.  I just don't know it.  It's similar to the fade when you have products in your cart and you return to the store and it asks to clear your cart.  Thank you!
