I have a scenerio that I need figured out ASAP and I appreciate any feedback and direction. Here goes:

We have the product cart and it is on its own server. Then we have a static web site on its own server. Then we have a dot net nuke database in the same place as the static web site, but in a folder.

This is what we need:
I have my dot net nuke set up where our dealers can login and go directly to their own page. I have a link on their page for them to be directed to our shopping cart. I would like for them to be automatically logged in to the shopping cart upon logging into the database. I am sure there is a way to do this, but I am at a complete loss. Is it an easy code addition or change, or am I going to need to pay someone to get this done.

I appreciate your time and answers, thank you!

Hi,

I had a similar secenario recently. Creating an automatic login appeared to involve a lot of extra work so here is my workaround.

I created a customer specific login page (as you have already). I disabled the dynamic category menu and created a static one. I then created a customer specific category and linked to this page from their own secure page. Unfortunately they still have to login again if they want to purchase but in my experience customers browse the product a few times before buying.

Hope thishelps though i appreciate it wasn't exactly what you wanted.

Nigel

I really appreciate the idea. Thank  you so much for taking the time to reply. My boss really wants for the user to only have to log in once, though.

Is there anyone out there that is willing to be paid to do this? Everyone that I have tried contacting by email has either not responded or they are booked up for months!

Hi,

Let me have another look at it for and if it can be done I'll give you a price.

Can I get your direct email address from your website?
