Description a Required Field

Message Topic Search Topic Options Post Reply Create New Topic Printable Version Translate Topic

   Hi,

Is there any reason why this field is required?  If I took this restriction off of the backend, will there be any issues with the cart functionality?

	I don't believe there is any functionality that requires the product description but for display and search capabilities, as well as search engine searches, it is best to use the description field with as much detail about each product as possible.
