Keeping an eye on SEO, I've been reading this forum many time...
However a question comes up... What would be better to use? The 404 static html or the ISAPI rewrite? I currently have a custom 404.asp page that I like to keep, as old pages are nicely forwarded (code 301) and gives a nice message (404) to the users where they can leave some comments about the error they received (using a form)... (See details on this here / latest post on this) What would be better to do, the ISAPI rewrite idea or the 404 static html as described by EarlyImpact? If suggested the 404 static html method, is it easy (for a non-asp guru) to implement my current 404.asp code? Your ideas on this please Edited by worldofrugs - 11-June-2008 at 3:29pm |
