On a recent cart most of the orders and registrations are going into my Junk Mail folder. Also, these emails are also going to my client who has an AOL account and they don't always reach him.
Any suggestions?

This has typically nothing to do with ProductCart. The issue must be either with the SMTP server used to send those messages or the domain name associated with those e-mail accounts: they might be black-listed (or otherwise penalized). Here you can do an IP check to see if a server is blacklisted.

This is without doubt something to do with your email settings. The SMTP server settings must be correctly set up otherwise the mails will get treated as spam. By that I mean not just in Productcart but on the mail server itself - correct SPF records etc. A O Hell is another matter altogether - they are a law unto themselves when it comes to deciding what email they will and won't allow you to see.

Many email systems have the ability to "whitelist" email addresses - assuming the emails get through any external filters in the first place.
Has your client accidentally flagged an email as "spam" - or carried out a mass email campaign causing others to do the same? Another consideration - might the order emails contain words that would trigger spam filters? - For example it could be as simple as the words "order" and "store" acting as triggers if a spam filter is badly configured. Fundamentally though, as others have said, it's not really a ProductCart issue. |
