I have been having problems recently, and just wonder if others are experiencing the same.
I have contacted PC Tech support and they put the blame on google, which could very well be the case.  Anyway...

Google Check-Out is timing out when obtaining the shipping data and tax calculations, and thus displaying (and charging) the default shipping amounts I have set up within PC.

Besides the fact that actual shipping cost to me vs. the "one fit all" default amount is substantially wrong, BUT Google Check-out does not allow to increase the authorization amount of the order.  Thus I must contact the customer for there CC# or send a google invoice for the difference (or eat the difference).  Painful, and time consuming.

PC Tech support says Google allows only a 3 sec window to obtain the shipping and tax amounts.  If there is a lag, the default is grabbed.

I use offer Fedex and USPS - 9 options total (1day, 2 day, etc) - Not alot of options in my opinion.  Also use Jolt Digital (Florida)

Also use Auth net (PC Checkout) and Paypal express and HAVE NO PROBLEMS.

Anyone experiencing these time-out problems?

I've tried Google checkout and hated every bit of it.  I discontinued Google checkout.  I use a gateway and paypal.

I agree Katherina,

Google checkout is like beginners bubblegum.........

The intent was to take a bite out of Paypals business, however, from what I have read they haven't even taken a nibble out of Paypals marketshare.

IMHO the problem is that google checkout should have been designed to work more transparently in the background without google trying to control details of the transactions. We still have google checkout active on our two sites, however, hardly any of our customers choose to use it over Paypal (maybe 2-3 percent of our total transactions).
