Shipping Price at Item Level

I have just modified product cart to allow shipping prices to be defined at a product level. There are three fields for Ground, Second-Day, and Next-Day, but more could be added as needed.

Changes to the pricing can be made on a per product level, or by using the "Global Changes" page in the control panel. This also works for BTO products if you have purchased that add-on.

We had to implement this because we have complicated shipping needs. For example, we offer free ground shipping on certain products only and we ship from multiple locations (including drop-shipping) based on the product. A customer could order "product A" which would ship from our office and "product B" which would be drop-shipped. Since we do not want to eat the shipping cost in this scenario, we need this mod.

	Hi Gordo, I would love to know a bit more about your mod. Is the actual shipping price defined at product level or is it the different shipping services that can be diplayed at checkout. I am wondering how it would handle a cart of multiple products shipped from different drop shippers ? Thanks

	Hi Matt, If you are interested in calculating shipping costs from different drop shippers we have just released an Add-on which allows you to calculate shipping from the drop shipper's location.
