Why does my View Cart page redirect to msg.asp?

it redirects to msg.asp if you have no items in the cart. Why it does not display the error message is unclear, but I would ask if you have modified the cart? Is there a test product available?

I have a test product in a category:
I am getting a blank line on the msg.asp page now - I just added the code back to the header that I should have had there in the first place, but accidentally removed it. Any ideas???

it looks like it is working fine now. Adding the item to the cart results in correct cart operation.
