Is it possible to modify the length of information saved to the database with regards to customer details?

We are based in the UK therefore we use counties rather than states

when a customer creates an account only the initial part of there county is being saved.  This is causing an issue when printing the invoice or packing sheet

eg if the customer is from Co. Dublin on the invoice we are only getting Co.   printed but we also have:

Co. Galway
Co. Kerry
Co. Kildare
Co. Kilkenny
Co. Laois
Co. Leitrim
Co. Limerick
Co. Longford
Co. Louth
Co. Mayo
Co. Meath

This basically makes this field worthless.  IS it possible to increase the amount of text saved to include the full county - give it a max of 50 characters

Also would this also rectify the output on the invoice and packing sheet?

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Neil

Have you tried creating separate Countries or separate States in the Manage Countries or Manage States sections in the Settings Tab via the admin?

You could just add the countries as states under a main country for customers to select via the drop down menu instead of an input field. Maybe you're already doing this and that's why you're asking but just in case you're not I figured this could help. I am in the US and don't ship international at this time, so we only use 1 country and several states. But essentially the system looks like it could handle several countries and several states just by adding them.

Hope this helps. Please correct me if I am wrong.
