    Posted: 10-December-2007 at 6:54am

Hi,

I'm trying to change the BTO configuration page so that the BTO options display in a table like format instead of a long list in a single column. Looking at the code this part of the layour appears to be controlled by the stylesheet (class=pcshowcontent).

Has anyone modified this already? Was it easy?

I'm basically looking to have the BTO options show across 2 or 3 columns

Many thanks

Nigel

Hi Nigel,
   Take a look at :
http://www.chivesonline.co.uk/shop/pc/configurePrd.asp?idPro duct=70

Is this what you mean? If so I'll dig out the changes I made to achieve it.
Also - Which version of the code are you on?

Hi Hamish,

Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes thats almost it - I'm trying to get the drop down options (like the 2 at the top of your page) to appear across more than one colum (like your sandwhich options below)

This site is using BTO version 3.11 (has the latest update issued in September)

HI,
I'm just about to start on my upgrade to that version. The code changes I put in place for the existing version were :

Added a variable to track even/odd ( I only wanted to go two wide).
Tweaked all the TD widths to suit.
Dropped the code which shows descriptions as it generates  a table row
( <%if pcv_ShowDesc="1" then%>  ....) - You may want to keep this?
Added some code to cope with an odd no of checkboxes.

I should have the new version ready in a couple of days & I'll see if I can incorporate the dropdowns. I'm no great expert in ASP, but it wasn't to bad last time round.
I'll let you know when I have the next version ready. I won't be able to post it here as it's against the forum rules - but PM me & I  we can sort out getting the revised version to you.

Hi Nigel,
   Apologies, it's been a while.
Unfortunately the complexity of doing this is much greater that going two wide with checkboxes. This is because the  drop-downs and titles span multiple table rows and calculating when & how to put two titles & then two dropdowns on a single row is significantly harder.

Hi Hamish...can you provide the code for use to make these changes as we are needing multi columned layout instead of the default single column display.

Thanks,
Matt
