Error finder missnig errors

Over the past week, I have gotten a few e-mails from customers of our site, as well as in-house users (people setting up cross-selling, managing orders, etc.) where they got an error message from the ProductCart store, with an error reference ID.
 
But when I log in to the store control panel and use the Error Finder, that ID number is nowhere to be found. In fact, I can select "View all errors from the last: Today" and only one error shows up, and it's not any of the 3 errors that have been reported to me via e-mail.
