Hi

Can Early Imp or anyone that has done this help with this please. I'm not a programmer but I would like to know how (step by step) I can find and edit my text strings to edited the file includes/languages.asp  so that I can edit the email sent to new registering customers?

I've read I need to download this from the web servers to my computer and manually edit but I don't know how to do that either?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jonny

You need a FTP program to download the file and then upload back to the server once edited.

Make sure you make a backup copy each time before you edit it, that way you can restore it if it goes wrong.

Filezilla is a free FTP program that will download and upload for you.

But do note that you can edit some text sent in email in the control panel under "Settings" "Store Settings" "Email Settings"

Hope this helps.

One more thing, make sure you have applied all updates as sometimes there is a new versions of the language files which you will need to re apply your customizations to.
