Would just like to know if anybody has looked into this.
We have a payment option on our cart that allows people to choose "Quote Only". They have 30 days to call us if they want the order processed. If they don't we cancel the order. It would be a great feature to be able to go to the orderdetails.asp interface and select a cboBox that allows us to change the payment type to one of the other non credit card types such as PO, Check, Money Order... Has anybody ever done this? Do any of your experts know if it is more than just a query and update to the database? I would sure like to know. We have increased our business by allowing people to choose quote only, but it is sometimes difficult managing the orders when the invoices say quote only after they have accepted the quote and we ship the product. Thanks for any comments.

This is an interesting approach, if I get you here:
Sounds like you're using the system to allow users to generate their own quotes on the fly, and then you can follow up on them. Nice The part that might complicate things a bit is updating the "Payment Details" after changing the payment method. Other question would be whether you'd want to retain the fact that the order was originally placed as "Quote Only". This is exactly the kind of customization work we excel at and love to do. If you're interested in having us do this for you, please Request a Quote through our site. |
