How do you deal with having multiple products that have the same names for the color options, but the colors are actually different? Like one brand's "blue" is different than another brand's "blue" so I can't use the same color swatch for the color attribute "blue." Even if I create different option groups, I can't duplicate the name of the attribute and this is aggravating. When customers are searching for product X in plum, and I have to change the name of the color to avoid duplicating the attribute, they may get confused or discouraged because they can't find the product they are looking for in the color they have seen named on the manufacturer's or a competitor's site. thanks for any advice!

Hey Shannon! The only solution I came up with is to put a character after the color name (like a period maybe). It is frustrating and I wish the different option groups could have the same colors without it over-riding something else... |

Thanks Mel. I am getting very creative with my color names! Kelly Green, Green, Primary Green. Characters would probably have been better, lol! Pretty sad when I am scouring thesaurus.com and wikipedia to find alternatives to the word "blue!" |
