Version 5.0 Shipping Questions

We use UPS and USPS to ship our products. Does Version 5.0 address the following shipping issues? 

Ability to ship different products by different
methods. Some of our smaller items are
always shipped with US Postal Service due to cost. 
We offer Free Shipping to the contiguous US, but
we must charge for Alaska and Hawaii.
Using our current shopping cart, there is no way to do this. We just have a
note at the shipping selection stage that additional charges apply to AK and
HI. It is frustrating when we have to call a customer in AK and HI to explain
that there are additional shipping charges after they’ve already placed an
order.

	Hi! Regarding the first need it would be a customization. There are a bunch of different ways you could set that up to work in the cart. If you'd like to explore the options then reach out to us and we can help you out! For your other need, I believe that you can set it up this way: 1. Create a custom shipping option and set it to offer free shipping. 2. At the bottom of the page check the "Continental US option". 3. Setup a second shipping option and place your rates in there as required. 4. Check "Alaska & Hawaii" only for this option. 5. Test using a couple different addresses. Let me know if that works! Amy
