I'd like to see in a future release the "Add to Cart" button changed to "Update" when a customer is editing their products options either while viewing their cart or during checkout. I've had some customers say they thought they were adding a second item to the cart since the button says "Add to Cart".

Also, along the same lines, when someone has gotten all the way through the checkout process to the SUMMARY page and decides to change their products options, once they do so they have to start the checkout process all over again. They should be taken right back to the SUMMARY page where they were in the first place.

Any thoughts on this EarlyImpact? Is it even possible or just too time consuming and costly to implement?

I like your ideas. A problem on your second point could be that if the options affect price and or weight, the shipping, taxes, and total cost would also change. Can the cart handle this scenario with the available payment methods at this point of the checkout process?
