Password Encrypytion Retrieval

   We operate two separate Product Carts 3.5 that are identical in structure .   
 using Access. 

Both of the shopping sites are not de-encrypting the passwords.   

In the raw dbases we are seeing the encrypted info - \=¢Ö/?¯
And in the retrieved email  when requesting a forgotten/lost password, we receive this:

Hello 
Your requested password is: \=¢Ö/?¯
Thank you for shopping with us.

And, well they just don't work - even if you cut and paste.  

Both are dedicated IPs and SSLs. 

Any thoughts or directions to a solution?
